The TL;DR: 100% Local AI.
AetherWrite is built with privacy at its core. Your texts, keystrokes, and generated content are processed entirely locally on your device. We do not read, store, or transmit your writing to any external servers.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Because AetherWrite relies on Chrome's Built-in AI (Gemini Nano) which runs directly on your local hardware, we have no need for your data. Therefore, we do not collect or transmit:

Your text inputs, drafts, or final writings.
Your keystrokes or clipboard contents.
The websites you visit or the text fields you interact with.
Your browsing history.

2. Information We Do Collect

We only collect the absolute minimum information necessary to provide you with the PRO features of our extension:

License Key: If you purchase AetherWrite PRO, you will enter a license key. The extension transmits this key securely to our payment provider (LemonSqueezy) solely to validate your purchase.
Local Settings: Your preferences (e.g., writing style, language, replace behavior) are saved strictly locally in your browser using Chrome's storage.local API. This data never leaves your device.

3. Third-Party Services

We use LemonSqueezy as our Merchant of Record to handle payments and license management. When you validate a PRO key, your request is sent to LemonSqueezy's servers. Please refer to LemonSqueezy's Privacy Policy for more details on how they handle transaction data.

No other third-party analytics, tracking, or telemetry tools are installed in this extension.
